Stews in general but chili in particular is a warm and savory meal that warms your palate especially during winter. As its name suggests, chicken chili is quite similar to the ordinary beef chili, though it consists of a lesser amount of meat. So without wasting any more time, let’s learn about some healthy and quite simple to make chicken chili recipes.

Ingredients:

1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 green bell pepper – diced
1 can, diced tomatoes, 28 oz.
1 of a 15-ounce can of black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Season with salt and or pepper, to taste.

Instructions:

In a big pot, some of the oil and fry the chicken over medium high flame till it turns brown. Take chicken out of the mixture and keep it aside.
Put the onion, garlic and bell pepper into the pot and stir until slight brown.
They offer to add the mixture with diced tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes and green chilies, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper.
Add the mixture and let it boil for some time then let it simmer for thirty minutes or until the chicken is well done.

 

White Chicken Chili

Ingredients:

1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts chopped into 1 inch cubes
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (15 oz.,) white beans, rinsed and drained
1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies, 10ounces.
1 (10-ounce) can chicken broth.
1(4-ounce) can diced green chiles
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Salt as well as pepper to taste

Instructions:

In a large vessel, fry the chicken to brown it by arranging it on a medium high heat. They had to turn off the heat and take out the chicken reserving it for later.
Now add the onions and garlic into the pot and sauté until they are soft.
Add the beans, tomatoes and green chilies, and chicken broth into the pot then the green chiles, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper as well.
Boil to the mixture and then turn the heat down and let the chicken cook for another 30 minutes or until cooked through.
Put cornstarch and water in a small bowl and whisk them to form a thin slurry. Pour to the pot and leave it simmering for Five minutes or until it thickens.
