Literally, to borrow a proverbial saying, there is never a man that who says that he will eat his breakfast is actually half way through the day. Here are 3 healthy breakfast recipes that are easy to make and packed with flavor:

1. Oatmeal with Fruit and Nuts

Other example of breakfast meal is oatmeal which is a common type of meal that people especially those who are looking for something healthy take. It is endowed with fiber, protein and the polysaccharides commonly referred to as the compound carbohydrates that forms a good diet. If you’d like to add more nutrition or variety to your oatmeal, you can also serve it with fresh or frozen fruit, a handful of nuts to the bowl.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • Now part skim in 1 cup of milk (rice milk, soy milk, skim milk, etc depending on the choice).
  • ¼ cup fruit: Such as berries, apples or bananas that have been chopped into pieces.
  • ¼ fresh nuts (preferably, almonds, walnuts, pecans, etc.).
  • The use of butter, and maple syrup or honey, to sweeten the dish is optional also.

Instructions:

  • Add a bowl of oats with milk poured in it.
  • Place on a microwave and heat for about 2-3 minutes, or until all are sizzling hot.
  • Stir in fruit and nuts.

2. Greek Yogurt Parfait

Greek yogurt is a good product that provides health benefits in protein metabolism and contains good bacteria. Greek yogurt parfait has nice taste and preparation if you are indeed in the habit of consuming yogurt products as a meal. Juice is ideally served in bowl divided and layered with fruits, granola or nuts of your choice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1 tbsp: chopped fruits including berry fruits, apples and bananas.
  • Honey or maple syrup as per anyone’s requirement but not necessary to use.

Instructions:

  • Put a layer of the following in the tumbler; greek yogurt, granola, and fruits in layers.
  • You can then pour the drizzle part in honey or maple syrup if you wish to include any of the two.

3. Avocado Toast

We all know how much people fancy consuming avocado spread on a toast particularly in the morning as a breakfast, it is good for you. Avocados are referred to as source of fat but the type of fat they contain is healthy essentially they have fiber content as well. Extra, for even more delicious cooking and for the added health benefits, you put tomato slices and diced or sliced red onions on the avocado toast then sprinkle some salt and pepper to your liking.

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice whole-grain bread
  • 1/2 avocado, mashed
  • 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Toast the bread.
  • Pound the avocado then lightly spread it over the toast.
  • Serve topped tomatoes, red onion and a pinch of salt and pepper
